My Story:
When I started my journey in education I never could have imagined that I would be working at a school with wild peacocks, bobcats, a creek, great blue herons catching gophers, red tailed hawks flying in the classroom, orb spiders, a preying mantis and mountains lining the horizon! My life has been shaped by a variety of experiences over time. Parenting and teaching are by far the most rewarding and challenging jobs I have had in my life. (And I have had a lot of jobs!) I am fortunate to raise my family in the Santa Cruz area and to teach at Mountain School. Being a part of the Mountain School community has enriched my life and I am grateful to the families I have come to know over the years. I hope to continue my journey at Mountain School for many years in the future. I have many passions in life: my family, teaching, running, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, swimming, photography, and scrapbooking to name just a few. Being in nature is where I recharge my soul and spirit. If I can assist my students in finding their passions, develop their dreams and be true to themselves, then I can rest assured that I have realized my own dreams.
